Consulting and mentoring for teachers of Anthroposophy
Have you developed an area of expertise, based on Anthroposophy, and are now teaching it?
People who do so often have the experience that even though they are able to attract students to their courses or events, they seem to be less engaged than wished and the impact of the training, i.e. what students do with the information received, is less than hoped for by the teacher. This can lead to frustration and even to feeling that one‘s live‘s work is not being properly valued by the people one shares it with.
What I see so often, is that people teaching their Anthroposophical wisdom, do so without a deep understanding of adult education based on Anthroposophy. Instead they teach how they saw other people teach, which are often old-fashioned methods that leave participants passive or mix in activities randomly to bring in more activity and diversity. It's not a well-thought through process that enables participants to deeply understand key concepts by themselves and to develop the core skills the training is designed to give them.
In my eyes using teaching methods seen elsewhere is like feeding someone caviar on a rusty spoon. Your students might love your caviar (your Anthroposophical wisdom), but because of the rusty spoon (your way of delivery, i.e. teaching methods) they may not like to take the caviar so much.
Wouldn‘t it be more appropriate and consistent to serve your caviar on a silver spoon? This means: you would use teaching methods coming out of Anthroposophy as well, and fully aligned with your aims. Just as caviar (fish eggs) could not be served on a better material than silver, as eggs and silver are both associated to Moon forces. Can you see how this is a perfect match? The content and the delivery method are fully aligned.
That is what I want for your courses and events.
To increase the impact of your incredible wisdom, elevate and inspire students and, at the end of the day, to serve the Being of Anthroposophy and Humanity in the best way possible.
All else is a waste of time.
Over the last 15 years I have developed a profound understanding of adult education based on Anthroposophy. I was already trained as an anthroposophical person-centred counsellor when I studied the approach and methodology of the New Adult Learning Movement (NALM), founded by Coenraad van Houten, in theory and practice, as a student of Julia Kubler and Malcolm Daniels (2012-2014). I took a one year vocational training on adult education at the Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz, where I broadened my perspective and was able to clearly distinguish cuttinge-edge conventional methods of adult education with those sprouting out of Anthroposophy. I went on to study transformational education (leadership and facilitation trainings) with Dr. Claire Zammit from 2018 to 2023. Again, my NALM background enabled me to soak up the best and translate and integrate it into my understanding of anthroposophical Andragogy.
Through all this study, research and practice I know that I can help you take your event or training to being world class and to deeply move and impact your students.
My support is highly personalized, as you as the teacher need to be fully in charge, clear and confident about how you design or improve your course or event. Contact me if you would like to have a free 30 minute conversation to show me what you are doing and have me assess the support you need: ambra(at)posteo.pt.
I look forward to working with you!
